Shipping Charges

If ordering products in bulk please contact us for a shipping quote on 01227 833807 or to see if we can offer you a discounted shipping rate.

The customer will be charged for the cost of shipping their items. All shipping charges are subject to change in the event of ordered items not meeting the selected shippers conditions. In the instance that shipping rate needs to be amended a representative of Burt's Country Store will contact the customer within 2 working days to resolve outstanding shipping issues.

There may be additional charges for some heavy and bulky items to Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands, Isle of Man, Mainland Europe (see below) and offshore islands. 

International Trading

As of 1st January 2021, import VAT and tariffs might be chargeable on your products when you import or export goods between the UK and EU member states. Delivered At Place (DAP). Also called delivered duty unpaid (DDU). This term indicates that the seller only takes responsibility for shipping the product, and requires the customer to pay any import costs, such as VAT, duties, and clearing fees. This option might keep you from having to manage the import process, but DAP creates unexpected costs for your customer and can result in delayed or returned shipments.

Delivery Time

If your order is in stock we aim to dispatch the order within 24 hours. If part or all of your order is out of stock the order will be dispatched once all items are available. Please note that at busier times, we aim to ship your orders within 48 hours (Monday-Friday)

Larger orders are sent by DPD or APC, and this is a Next Day service. You will receive an automated message from these couriers with a delivery time. This is a Monday to Friday service, if you place your order on Friday, it will be delivered on Monday/Tuesday the following week.

Smaller orders are sent via Post Office, we use the Tracked 48 service. If you require next day delivery on an item where postage is listed as "UK Light" please contact us for further details.

Once we send your item and you request a 'safe place' directly with the couriers when you receive notification from them, we will not accept any responsibility for missing items.
